WearView - Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2026WearView is a fashion AI platform operated by Lean Shipper, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We believe privacy policies should be clear and readable, not buried in legal jargon.
1. Notice
When you use WearView, we collect certain personal information to provide our fashion AI services — including virtual try-on, AI model creation, and product-to-model generation. We only collect information that is necessary to deliver the service, process payments, and improve the platform. No party outside of WearView will ever get access to your personal information unless you specifically grant us permission or we are required to do so by law.
2. Your Consent
Essential Data: To use WearView, you must provide certain essential data. When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This information is required to create and maintain your account. Without it, we cannot provide you with access to the platform.
Non-Essential Data: During onboarding, we ask how you heard about us and what type of user you are (e.g., fashion brand, creator, photographer). This helps us improve the product but is not required to use the service. We also use analytics and advertising tools (detailed in Section 3) that collect usage data. You can opt out of non-essential tracking through your browser settings or by contacting us.
What Happens If You Decline: If you choose not to sign in with Google, you will not be able to create an account or use WearView's AI features. If you decline non-essential cookies or tracking, you can still use all core features of the platform without limitation.
3. Usage
3.1 Data Collected
Here is exactly what data we collect and where it comes from:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture — collected automatically via Google when you sign in.
- Onboarding Responses: How you heard about WearView and your user type (e.g., fashion brand, e-commerce seller, creator) — collected during the onboarding questionnaire.
- Uploaded Content: Garment images and product photos you upload for AI processing. These are stored in private storage buckets accessible only to you.
- Generated Content: AI-generated images (try-on results, AI models, product-to-model outputs). These are stored in a way that allows sharing via direct link if you choose to share them.
- Payment Information: Billing details processed by our payment provider. WearView does not store your credit card numbers.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, device type, browser type, and IP address — collected through analytics and advertising tools.
- Support Interactions: Messages and conversations through our customer support chat.
- Email Verification: Your email address is verified during signup to ensure it is valid and not a disposable address.
- Affiliate Data: Referral tracking data if you arrived via an affiliate link.
3.2 Data Uses
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
- To process your garment and product images through our AI pipeline and return generated results.
- To process subscription payments and manage billing.
- To send transactional emails related to your account.
- To provide customer support.
- To analyze how the platform is used and identify areas for improvement.
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
- To track affiliate referrals.
- To prevent fraud and validate email addresses.
- To personalize your experience based on your onboarding responses.
4. Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services. Specifically:
- Account Data: Retained for the lifetime of your account. When you delete your account (available in your account settings), all personal data is deleted immediately. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being automatically purged.
- Uploaded Images: Garment and product images are retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted when your account is deleted. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days.
- Generated Content: AI-generated images are retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted when your account is deleted. Shared links will stop working once your account is deleted. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days.
- Payment Records: Transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years), even after account deletion.
- Analytics Data: Anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes. This data cannot be linked back to your identity after account deletion.
