What is style transfer?
Style transfer is an AI technique that separates the content of an image from its style and then recombines them. Content is the structure — the shape of a dress, the pose of a model, the layout of a scene. Style is the surface treatment — the color grade, lighting mood, grain, and texture. Style transfer keeps the content of one image and repaints it in the style of another.
The classic example is a photograph rendered to look like a painting, but the practical use in commerce is quieter: matching a batch of product shots to one consistent visual treatment. You give the system a reference image with the look you want, and it applies that look to other images without changing what is actually in them.
How style transfer works
